This is not the championship table

Raw points mostly measure the team’s equipment — a well-funded shop’s cars tend to qualify well and score well together. This ranking divides each driver’s points-per-race by how well their organization typically qualifies, then blends in the margin over a driver from the same team in qualifying.

One honesty note: NASCAR teammates don’t share a literally identical car the way F1 or MotoGP teammates do. Cup Series engines come from four separate suppliers even within the same organization, and setup still varies car to car under the spec Next Gen chassis. So this shows organizational strength more than a pure isolation of driver skill from machinery — read it as “same shop, not same car.”
