This is not the championship table
Raw points mostly measure the car — the top of the standings and the top of the grid by car pace are nearly the same list. This ranking divides each driver’s points-per-race by how fast their car actually is, then blends in the one number that isolates driver skill from the car entirely: the median qualifying gap to their own teammate, counted only when both drivers reached the same segment of qualifying.

Where these numbers come from
Points per race, divided by a car-pace factor from the Car Performance ranking — so the same rate of scoring counts for more from a car that isn’t built to produce it. Blended with the qualifying gap to a driver’s own teammate, the one comparison that holds the car constant.
Score is 65% car-adjusted points, 35% teammate qualifying margin. It exists to order the grid, not to be read as a measurement — the number itself carries no meaning beyond rank.
